Laprak is a striking Gurung village situated at the high hill region of northwest Nepal. It has got about 600 houses and 4000 population in total. Including some other social group, mostly Gurung families are found there.

The picturesque Laprak village has been collapsed by the April earthquake. The infrastructures- houses, health post, school, VDC building and other structures have turned into rubbles. The village has affected such badly that even reestablishing/rebuilding has gone really tough. Due to this reason, the villagers have shifted to 2700 metres in a temporary shelter. The earthquake have not only the effect on infrastructures, but also in cultural sites.
